Whether you’re a fan or not but Music has always captured the hearts and souls of human beings on the planet since it was ever invented. Around 3000 years ago music started as some religious hymn and now with thousands of genres and styles across the globe, the music industry has become a magnificent $20bn business in a year.

In the age of digital distribution music is no longer stored on hard media. After being downloaded and stored on mobile devices for listening convenience, music is kept on the internet over the cloud and conveniently accessed on demand.

Listeners are associated and sometimes obsessed with their favorite bands and artists. Music even drives a multitude of other industries from acoustic technologies to rock bands merchandise. Each artist has a long history and fans follow their favorite singers, even in their private lives. Fans know by heart each and every song played by their favorite bands, knowing their discography sometimes more than any history lesson they were taught at school.

Across the world and throughout its multi-millennial history there were millions of songs produced, remixed and remastered. There is huge benefit in being able to track, trace and allocate any song at our fingertips. Hit singles are always remembered and listened to regularly as well as being broadcasted on radio channels and in the age of video social media their related clips are played.

Artist discographies are way much more than the few hit singles they produced. If the time passes over a single that was a super hit in a year because it gained extreme public attention due to a certain mood and taste of a generation, another one can become much more favored if time and taste changed.

If we can access all the music at any time and have the Artificial intelligence (AI) tools to bring the relevant music to the surface according to current criteria we can regenerate the music ages over and over again.

Not only AI and machine Learning (ML) arerequired to achieve this revolution, it is how the music is stored and sorted that makes this possible. Music - if stored over Blockchain - can be revolutionized for the Nth time.

“Music Chain”, if we might call it, as a Blockchain for melodies needs to rely on a new Internet infrastructure that is truly decentralized for its success. It requires a network layer platform that provides features not present at the moment by the traditional network protocols.
