An American serial killer who murdered 4 women in Florida, he killed himself, after killing his wife and niece in September 2004, and when police begin to investigate they learn about his dark family secret.

EARLY LIFE:

Charlie Brandt was born on February 23, 1957, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to German immigrants Herbet and IIse Brandt. They have an elder daughter, Angela, Charlie, and two younger daughters. His father was an international harvester, and they were always on the move because of his job.

There is not much information regarding Charlie’s childhood; he was described as a good student and a quiet boy who struggled to adjust to new settings. When the family went on vacation to Florida, Charlie and his father would go hunting for small animals.

JANUARY 3, 1971:

The family is getting ready for bed on the evening of January 3, 1971. Charlie’s father, Herbert, is shaving in the bathroom, and Charlie’s pregnant mother is taking a bath. Angela Brandt, 15, and Charlie, 13, are downstairs, watching an FBI show on their new color television. She then walks upstairs to read a book before going to bed.
