The Murder of Dana Satterfield
Dana Satterfield was a successful 27-year-old woman, a mother to her two children, and the owner of her own hair salon. In 1995 she was found murdered in her own salon, and the case would go cold for 10 years after her daughter without knowing it would help solve her mother’s murder.
DANA SATTERFIELD:
Dana Satterfield was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on November 16, 1967. She was known as a dedicated woman who was always eager to assist others and made instant friends. Dana met a guy in high school, and they soon got married, and gave birth to her daughter, Ashley, shortly after graduating high school.
Dana’s marriage swiftly fell apart after she gave birth. She met Paul Michael Satterfield, also known as Mike, and the couple married and had their son Brandon Satterfield. Mike ran his own air conditioning and heating company.
Dana would stay at home with the children while they were smaller, while Mike brought in the money and Dana would work a few jobs here and there to increase her income. When her children grew older, she decided it was time to pursue her dreams and do something for herself.
