If you’ve seen this trailer then you know what a wonderful world it is we live in.

My Star Wars app notified me on the way to work that the trailer dropped. I watched it when I could and I was stoked.

This trailer is great. The story is summarized, the tone is established, and the excitement is elevated.

Felicity Jones is a convincing lead although her “I rebel” line was a little too on the nose. Forest Whitaker looked like a natural in the Star Wars world, something I was not sure would happen.

Ben Mendohlsohn looked evil, and white. And Donnie Yen seemed out of place. Not because of who he is (I’ve heard nothing but good things), but because it’s a little hard to see a non-Jedi martial artist existing in that universe.
