Why no one should be called a UX Designer
Varun Mohapatra

Call me crazy, but I actually love this topic. I’ve been doing and managing things that cluster around “UX” since the titles were “Web Designer” and “Web Master.” At times I’m not sure whether the clarity of titles has gotten better or worse since then. There’s so much tied up in a title — it’s how you and others define your scope of responsibility and job duties, it’s how you talk to others in your peer group about what you do, it’s how you market yourself, it’s how employers find and market to you…etc. In each of those contexts, there’s a different need for a title to convey something meaningful.
