I’M OLD I MUST MARRY

Oh, how my heart hungrily leaps!
When at the corner of my eye I spy,
A lady gracefully gyrating her hips.
Admire from afar is all does I.
My lame tongue deep down I must bury.
I’m old, I must marry.

Oh, how my lewd loins catch fire!
When by carnal chance I observe,
A damsel obliviously hiking her skirt higher and higher.
Are mere glimpses all I deserve?
No longer in single-hood will I tarry.
I’m old, I must marry.

Oh, how I desecrate the Lord’s sacred temple!
Instead of praying or reading Job or Isaiah,
Higher and higher mounts my heart’s tempo,
With carnal desire for that “sister”in the choir.
Old age is at my heels, I must hurry.
I’m old, I must marry.

I hear there lies pleasure in madness,
That nobody but the mad enjoy.
There must hide in marriage certain happiness,
That to only the married brings peace and joy.
Winter is cold by my side someone must lie.
I’m old, I sure must marry.
