Why onchain Games?
At Grug’s Lair Gaming Studio, we are fully committed to onchain games to bring new ideas to the gaming world. We shifted to decentralized gaming to provide fun and meaningful experiences for everyone, believing that blockchain technology makes gaming more fair and open compared to traditional, centralized methods. This direction combines our deep experience in gaming with our expertise in cryptocurrency.
Why Starknet and Dojo?
We chose to work with Dojo and Starknet at Grug’s Lair because of a challenge from Loaf at Bibliotheca Gaming Studio. He suggested we could quickly create a game prototype using Dojo, an onchain game engine designed for fast development. This got us started on “Rising Revenant,” one of the first games we developed using Starknet.
Choosing Starknet was a strategic move, using its strong features and our good connections within the Realms and wider Starknet communities. These relationships give us a lot of support and a stable foundation for our projects.
