The internet has played a significant role in widening the digital divide geographically around the globe. Now, generative AI is popularizing computing with large knowledge models and powerful computing environments worldwide, leading to novel applications that revolutionize how people solve problems. The rapid advancement of technology has prompted concern, with some calling for a halt to research in the area and proposing strong regulations on its use. On the other hand, politicians and bureaucrats are involved in creating selfish policies that often work against the interests of less privileged people and can be outright harmful.

One clear impact of the technological revolution is that the world is becoming more polarized. With recent advances, this polarization is likely to deepen further. Current technology is intelligent but lacks humanistic aspects, emotional intelligence, and the ability to understand and connect with users. It lacks empathy.
