10 must go restaurants in Bangalore
Food is good for mood..
Being IT hub and nicknamed as Silicon Valley of India, Bangalore (Bengaluru) is home for people from all over the India, and hence provides different types of authentic cuisines in their best flavors. Being it South Indian dishes like dosas and uttapam or Rajasthani thali’s, Bangalore has it all. Being city full of young and enthusiastic people, it provides eating opportunities in every corner of the city so here is a list of restaurants which I feel are must go.
For authentic South Indian food: If you love South Indian food, then you are in paradise. Bangalore has many places for South Indian food, but these three places are must go:
- Nagarjuna: If you are craving for authentic Andhra cuisine, Nagarjuna is missing you. It’s located at various places, and the food is just awesome.The price is reasonable, but I am sure you will find it hard to stop eating as various types of chutney with spoon full of ghee on rice makes it irresistible. The food is served on banana leaves in Andhra style.

- Agarwal bhavan: Located in various places, Agarwal bhavan options for all meals of the day, breakfast to dinner. It has a huge menu with South Indian food along with spicy chat. The price is good and the varieties is just mind-blowing.

For Maharashtrian food: Yes, you can indulge in authentic Maharashtrian cuisine while in Bangalore. Here are two places you can try:
- Purnabramha: Do you crave for missal pav and pooran poli? This place is well suited for you, located in HSR layout you will get yummy food and ambiance with soothing music and on floor seating, try it!!!
- Mumbai Tiffin: Ok, so you are working in Bangalore, badly missing home made food and don’t want to spend money? Well no problem, Mumbai tiffin will take care of you. Set in ground floor of home, with normal dining tables BUT mouthwatering and pocket friendly food, this place is best.

For barbecues: The freshly BBQ’d food, smokey and grilled with crispy feel makes it just awesome to dive in. Here are 2 places where you should go:
- Barbeque Nation: This restaurant is omnipresent I guess, in many cities of India. It has many options for appetizers, along with main-course and dessert. Usually people stuff themselves with starters only as grilled paneer, pineapple, potato etc leave no place for anything else. Just make sure that the next day is free for you, as after going to BBQ, you will need at least 2 days to digest the food 😉.
- The Black Pearl: Are you a big fan of Pirates of the Caribbean series, and would you like to eat on one of their ships. This place is just for you. It has a lot of BBQ options, along with a long list of deserts to chow down. Just don’t forget to take few wonderful clicks at their photo booth, for free.

For authentic Thai cuisine: Thai food is famous for strong aroma with a spicy edge. They use a wide varieties of herbs, grasses and spices which make the food scrumptious.
- The Banjarong: Located in ulsoor, this is probably the best for Thai food. The right balance of flavors, the perfect texture, authentic ingredients, from the ubiquitous soups, stir-fries, satays and curries to exotic dishes, Banjarong provides the best of all.
For health conscious people: There are many people who check each and every calorie of their diet. They calculate carbs, proteins and other nutrient contents of diet and strictly monitor it. Bangalore has paradise for you too.
- Hwealth cafe: It provide a wide options for smoothies, detox juices, healthy soups and salads, along with main course and dessert. The best thing the menu has detail of every food item you order, i.e. about protein/ fat/ carbs/ fibers and finally calories. So, you can eat freely without any tension, so go and gobble up without getting fat.

For sizzlers: If you love sizzlers, then there is one awesome place to go.
- Earth Plate: This is a multi cuisine restaurant in HSR, with Indian, Chinese and Italian food. I liked especially Sizzlers and liquid paan.

For Rajasthani/ Gujrati food: Beans, dried lentils and legumes like gram flour, bajra and jowar form the main ingredients of many of the Rajasthani dishes. Ghee is often used in large quantities, but is mouth savoring.
- Rajdhani thali restaurant: If you want to eat dal bati churma, with gatte and jalebi in end, you should go there. It has thali system, with many different types of gravies and dessert like rabdi and kheer, you will stuff yourself.
