The Rise of Robotics

Robots are basically human-machines which are created using artificial intelligence. Robotics is now a professional subject which anyone who wishes study for it can go for it. Having an automatic working of way in future through artificial intelligence and robotics will be turning the world into a new place. Lots of theories can fall into place with the help of robotics and artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence refers to stimulation of human like behavior, thinking into machines. These traits also follow like problem solving and problem learning.

There are different category which fall under artificial intelligence:

· Robotics

· Machine learning

· Deep learning

· Computer vision

· Expert system

· Natural language process

· Semantic web

Robotics

Robotics involve the design, construction, operation and use of robots by embedding artificial intelligence. The first ever commercial, digital, and programmable robot was made in 1954 by George Devol and was name as UNIMATE. The robot was used to lift hot metal from die casting machines.

Generally talking there are 5 robot types as to date:

· Pre-programmed robots

· Humanoid robots

· Autonomous robots

· Tele-operated robots

· Augmenting robots

Pre-programmed robots

Pre-programmed robots are ones that have to be told ahead of time what to do, and then they simply execute that program. They cannot change their behavior while they are working, and no human is guiding their actions. The place where pre-programmed robots are mainly used are in auto-mobile industry. Lifting heavy pieces of metal and assembling them together requires quiet a strong human strength and number, doing them alone might take a long time. Due to which these pre-programmed robots are programmed in such a manner, that they are assigned to do a particular task and no human guiding is needed while they are performing. The size of the robots may vary depending upon the type of work they’re indulged into.

Humanoid robots

As the name suggests HUMANoid robots, they are robots which are human shaped. They are assembled in such a way that represents a human body. Like us humans they have a torso, head, two arms, and two legs. Purpose of human robot is to create a machine that typically reflects the human behavior but accurate and smart one.

Autonomous robots

Autonomous robots are the also called the autorobot, or autobot which performs tasks at high autonomy. Difference between autonomous robots and pre-programmed is that the difference is that pre-programmed are tightly packed by its surroundings, and autonomous robots are not they learn about their surroundings and perform respectively.

Tele-operated robots

Tele-operated robots are the remotely operated robots, or the robots that are operated by the operator through a device is called a tele-operator robot. The best example of tele-operator robot is the drone.

Drones are enhancing at a flying speed in the world. They can used for various purposes military purposes, video shooting, etc

Augmenting robots

Augmenting robots generally enhance capabilities that a person already has or replace capabilities that a person has lost.
