dear life — a blind prayer

concept: a blind prayer to what i hope my mental achieves in its chosen direction; as I abstract my free will to the transient navigation of my mind, emotion, and thus experience.

//

dear life i wrote to her, dearest,

on the clearest of days,

a sail so smooth, they said it to glide

but soon she writes rough seas await,

.

dear life don’t leave nor write to appease,

i need more than fire on a warm hackney,

a piercing look into the eyes who stare, glare,

the mirror shook,

but i didn’t, she took.

.

dear life, i plea to beckon the waters,

a great sea to conquer, experience, bequeath,

i write to you, let me roam free,

darkness await your day yet to turn,

never to fade

.

dear life, i wish to love,

let my soul run amid summer nights,

give strength to the mind,

to acquiesce of fear,

of fear to sail, in tepid water,

an anchor drags only to remind,

death befavors thy who lives,

dear life i wish to life…
