Hello Gary;

I believe that everybody’s body is different. Some people react well to carbs, some people react well to fats, others protein. But here is something I hold to be true: You need all three.

No macronutrient is bad for you. Fats keep hormones regulated, protein rebuilds muscle tissue, carbohydrates give you the energy you need for the day and keeps your brain happy.

People can lose weight in a number of ways. The biggest thing you need is a caloric deficit. That’s why the guy who did the Twinkie diet lost weight.

Now, for health purposes, people can get shredded and have terrible things going on inside their bodies. Bodybuilders drop dead at 22 from heart attacks. Probably due to the amount of synthetic protein. For health reasons, your source of macros is where it matters.

Fruits. Veggies. Anything that grows from the ground. Beans. Starches (yes, starches are good for you). Having a plant-based diet gives you a healthy body and it gives you enough of the macronutrients if you eat right.

I definitely don’t believe in restricting carbs, fats, or proteins. A proper fat loss nutrition plan has to include less calories than expended, healthy amounts of all macros, and, most of all, sustainable. That’s why I do IF, that’s why I get all 3 macronutrients, and that’s why I’m switching to a plant-based diet. Plus plants are less dense in calories, which means I can eat more of them and still be under my calorie needs.

But like I said before, everybody’s body is different. Seriously, congratulations on your weight loss Gary, love that you have an interest in your health. I say if LCHF works wonders for you and you can sustain it, keep it up! But for me, my body loves a moderate amount of carbs, a overly decent amount of fats, and tons of proteins. Thanks for the info though, I love learning about all of the different ways you can lose fat!
