Bros of the Internet Tell Women how to Rock Climb
Georgie Abel

“We’re talking about being verbally and sexually harassed, comments about our body, invasions of personal space, threats to our safety, character assassination, fearing for our life, and getting raped.” — How often does this actually happen? I’m genuinely curious, because I don’t feel like I’ve ever witnessed it. Maybe I’m oblivious (possible), or overly optimistic about people’s intentions (very possible), but I’ve always felt like the climbing gym is full of very reasonable people that respect each other. There’s a few large egos that I’ve come in contact with, but while they might be conceded I haven’t witnessed any misogyny.

Again, genuinely curious.
