Airbnb’s racism problem is much bigger than a few racist hosts.

I really appreciate this piece. I live in Oakland and have for over ten years and I refuse to use Airbnb when I travel because of what it has done to my city as well as the rest of the world. I feel like there is a misconception about who the individuals are that rent out “rooms” through Airbnb specially when the rooms are in a poor neighborhood or third world country. Somehow the company has led people to believe they are helping the little guys out when they rent from a corporation.
