I’ll give you the fact that Harding was an out of his depth, mind-numbing empty suit, which also translated to bad policy and a lot of scandal, which yes, is a path we are headed toward. But I would not say he’s the worst president we’ve ever had. For the next 40-something days that distinction will go to Rutherford Hayes. He’s the reason why our nation was never allowed to heal from the gaping wounds we had from the Civil War. Those wounds festered and caused the sort of divisions that the bottomless pit of ignorance that will be occupying the office next month prayed upon in his campaign.
BTW, linking Harding to the rise of Nazism is a little bit much, no?
