The resident peacock

For close to four centuries, the resident peacock of Sheikh Lotfollah mosque has caressed eyes of visitors of Isfahan, Iran.

This is definitely the most brilliant masterpiece of architecture I’ve ever seen. One should stand on sill position and raise the head towards ceiling to see the luxurious peacock’s tail made of passing light rays through embedded holes of dome.
