Details for the upcoming Club Sale on Monday 15th November are within!
TL: DR
- There are a total of 3060 clubs available to mint at 0.05 ETH each
- Phase 1 minting will begin on Monday 15th November at 18:00 GMT
- Phase 2 minting will begin on Wednesday 17th November at 18:00 GMT
- Phase 3 minting will begin on Friday 19th November at 18:00 GMT
- Minting will be done via the Footium Website where a ‘Mint your club’ button will appear
- Competition announced with prizes of 1 ETH + 5 Footium Clubs
- All competition entrants will be guaranteed a place on the whitelist to participate in phase 2 of the mint

Footium Briefly Explained
Intro
As you may already know, Footium is an MMO Football Strategy game where you manage a team to victory. Entry to higher divisions promises greater prizes, greater fan engagement, and greater glory! Footium Clubs are your pass to the game and participation in competitions to win prizes. To play the game you need to own a club.
League System
Those clubs in the higher divisions will be rarer than clubs in lower divisions, however, the league your club is in isn’t fixed forever. Clubs from lower divisions can be promoted and those from higher divisions relegated, but whilst a club is in a higher league it derives value from the benefits of being in a higher league. Being promoted and winning cup competitions will reward players with prizes!
Badge Rarity
The other aspect of Club Rarity is the club badges, club badges have different attributes with wildly varying rarity. Higher division clubs will be more likely to have larger stadiums, badges with rarer attributes and the potential to produce better players from their Academy.
Why Should You Buy Your Club Now?
Hierarchy
Buying your club now guarantees a place in one of the top 8 tiers of the Footium League System. The Footium League System is pyramidal, with lower divisions holding twice the number of leagues as the league above it. The overall structure is shown in the diagram on the left. Each league has 12 clubs.
Future Club issuances will take place at the bottom of the divisions so the value of top clubs shouldn’t be adversely affected, conversely, intensifying competition will increase the relative scarcity of your higher division clubs.
Academies
Clubs are token minting machines. Each club has its own academy that brings new talent into the game every season. The sooner you get your club the sooner you can start scouting academies for undervalued talent and create a pipeline for bringing high-quality players into your squad or selling them on to other managers.
Fair Launch
Intro
We will be distributing clubs ahead of the launch of the Footium game, with the intention of incentivizing engagement and participation. Usually, with these types of launches, big players arrive early, capturing stakeholder governance initiatives. We want Footium’s stakeholders to be the true stakeholders. We want our stakeholders to be gamers and the NFT community.
Team Tokens + Clubs
As an incentive to keep building Footium and its ecosystem, we have reserved 144 clubs, for the team, advisors, and for community competitions. This is less than 5% of the total supply of clubs. These clubs will be in the 3rd and 4th divisions of the league hierarchy.
Fair Rarity
In addition to a fair distribution of the NFTs themselves, we understand the importance of a fair distribution of NFT attributes. The NFT rarity distribution is provably fair as we’ll be using a commitment-reveal scheme to guarantee a fair allocation of rare attributes. We will be revealing the clubs’ attributes on Wednesday 1st of December at 18:00 GMT. When your NFT’s attributes are revealed, you can prove cryptographically that the attributes haven’t been changed.
Partnerships
BlackPool DAO
We are extremely proud to onboard BlackPool DAO as a key contributor to our metaverse. We are excited to work closely with BlackPool, who can provide their focused expertise in ways that benefit the whole community. To this end, we have agreed to let them buy 50 clubs, less than 2% of the total supply, which they can share amongst their community. We believe this amount strikes a fair balance between creating incentives that align BlackPool’s vision with ours and ensuring that the community isn’t subordinated to significant players.
What are gaming guilds?
Gaming guilds are an innovation in crypto gaming that provides a vehicle for people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford to purchase an NFT to get involved with NFT gaming. The gaming guild leases out the NFTs to gamers who then profit share their rewards with the true owner of the NFT. We value gamers and this model provides a way for us to get our NFTs into the hands of gamers.
Sale Structure
Intro
To ensure a fair mint, the sale will be broken down into three separate phases, with each phase being open for 48 hours to give everyone a chance to purchase.
Phase 1
Phase 1 will commence on Monday 15th November at 18:00 GMT and will be open to all early community members for 48 hours. The goal of this sale is to make sure that all early community members will be able to take part. As a result, all Discord and Telegram members who have been involved up to the initial announcement date (8th November at 18:00 GMT) will be whitelisted. Addresses will be collected via a Google Form that we will open in the next few days. Each address whitelisted this way will be able to mint two clubs.
Phase 2
Phase 2 will commence on Wednesday 17th November at 18:00 GMT and will be whitelisted based on accounts that have interacted with the Rarible, OpenSea and SuperRare exchange contracts, as well as ompetition entrants. You will be able to see whether you are on the whitelist by going to https://footium.club/ or checking on IPFS https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmdeU96bmiR5J4EncGBWjavEh6FjrZiDfjJG5zb3HKB8sg . Each address will be able to mint two clubs.
Phase 3
Phase 3 will commence on Friday 19th November at 18:00 GMT. Should there be any leftover clubs that have not been sold by this point, this phase will allow anybody to mint as many clubs as they wish.
How do I mint?
All minting will take place through the website (https://footium.club/). A guide will be published later this week how to mint a Footium club NFT when the sale goes live, this will include MetaMask setup, how to obtain Eth and how to mint using the website.
Technical Details
Before deployment, a merkle tree will be constructed of the whitelist and the merkle root will be stored on chain. This means that when you claim a club, a merkle proof will be created to prove that you are allowed to mint that many clubs.

Governance
DAO
Whilst decision-making is currently decided by the team, we plan to decentralize ownership of the protocol through the creation of a DAO in the future.
Game Development
We want to iterate on the game based on feedback from gamers and stakeholders. This feedback will inform the direction of the gameplay and the in-game economy.
Treasury
The funds raised from the sale will be used to continue development on the Footium game and ecosystem.
