Human Resources Isn’t About Humans

Great article. I remember awhile back talking with an HR representative who congratulated me on my marriage and graduation because they were “qualifying life events”. I wasn’t entirely sure what that meant until they explained that these were life events during which I was allowed to change employee health insurance plans. So basically, in their eyes, my marriage and graduation were of no more importance than an opportunity to change insurance plans. That’s when I understood how robotic HR can be at its worst.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
