Vail’s Epic Promise

Leaders in 2017 do not have to accept management processes, policies and programs known to contribute to diminishing our lives. Vail Resorts — the world’s largest owner of ski Resorts — has thrown this fact in high-relief by announcing what they describe as “an epic promise of zero footprint by 2030.”

This means that across their 11 ski resorts they will build on their years of leadership towards greater enterprise sustainability (they did this without a business relationship with SR Inc) to achieve net zero Green House Gas emissions, net zero waste and net zero water and forest impact — by 2030. Vail Resorts operates some of the most loved playgrounds of the world’s most influential leaders and families.

This is an outstanding example of practical and desperately needed“Sustainable Leadership.” Vail Resorts just moved to the top of locations for SR Inc’s Q1 Executive Symposium. Heavenly is one of their resorts and it’s close enough to San Francisco.

Especially in the Sierras, the powder stays fluffy only when it’s cold! See:
