Escape to LA

Random wanderings in the City of Angels

I love LA. It’s probably been said by millions before me, all for their different reasons. Some inspired by the fame this city is notorious for, others while basking in the warm sun on a December day, and probably more than you expect just feeling in the moment with their face stuffed full of carne asade they got off the taco truck at 2 in the morning. I love LA for the city itself. I am constantly fascinated by the diversity and seemingly never ending hidden haunts and hangouts I am constantly finding. Yes there are the major landmarks of course, Hollywood Blvd., Santa Monica Pier, Griffith Observatory. And I love these sites. But its the lesser known, out of the way places which I’ve learned to love as well, cruising through the crumbling roads of Elysian Park, the cities oldest public space. Exploring the back alleys and murals of the arts district. It’s a city with a relatively short lived but rich history which is ever evolving as it moves to the future.
