All too true. It gets interesting, and fascistic, when these individual behaviors become epidemic, cultural and imitative. These are adolescent boys that never achieve escape velocity because they never find the psychological budget constraint to curb their sociopathy.

Yes, deep down they crave structure, resistance and, in a way, defeat — the vanquishing of their destructive impulses. They crave boundaries and true authority. Enter Jordan Peterson, a Freudian daddy figure, which is kind of weird. The miscreants crave a conscience.

We are living in age of arrestedness — of difficult children. That’s fine, but parents are supposed to be running things. It doesn’t work if there aren’t people or responsible institutions, including governments, playing the parents. This is a good article if you can get at it:
