A Comfort Killer’s Trick To Get A Mentor

Lots of talk on LinkedIn about the power of mentors. A good mentor can provide experience and knowledge saving the mentee years of time.

Here is the problem — getting a good mentor can be difficult. For some the people around you on a daily basis are doing no better than you are doing. Not a good place to find a mentor.

So what should you do?

A Comfort Killer doesn’t complain that he isn’t part of a country club or a secret society. She doesn’t complain that the CEO of the business doesn’t want to talk to her about climbing the corporate ladder.

The Comfort Killer cracks a book. Books — especially biographies — are great mentors. We all have access to them.

Here are my recommendations:

  1. “The 10X Rule” by Grant Cardone
  2. “Napoleon” by Paul Johnson
  3. “48 Laws of Power” by Robert Greene
  4. “Power: Why Some Have It And Others Don’t” by Jeffrey Pfeffer
  5. “Genghis: Birth Of An Empire” by Conn Iggulden

Those are some of my favorites.

So go get a mentor today — on Amazon or Audible!
