And it begins…
I am embarking on quite an exciting journey soon and I thought it was time that I started a blog to keep track of what I learn as I begin my journey from a bits and pieces self-taught programmer to a junior developer.
A little background first, I have been accepted into Makers Academy, a web developer bootcamp and, barring no massive slip ups by me, I will be joining the August cohort on a 3 month bootcamp. Before this, however, there is a 4 week pre-course, which gets applicants up to the same level before the main course begins. Weekly challenges, exercises and tests ensure you’re doing the work and not just copying code.
I will be sharing all of my experiences, from moving up to London to tips and tricks I pick up during the course. I did a lot of research before embarking on this journey and kept thinking it would be nice if there was one place I could go to get a snapshot into what its really like to be part of a dev bootcamp. Thats where the blog idea came about. So I hope this helps anyone considering a similar change, anyone who wants to know more about programming or anyone who likes an interesting read!
Thanks again and I look forward to sharing the journey with you all.
James.
