Annie is in Durban, and as always, our timing is pretty impeccable because it coincided with the first BESET Durban Walking Tour of the year. Together with Josh (Ann’s brother) and Nicole (Josh’s GF), we had a pretty fun morning exploring the Durban harbour. Dr Andrew Mather was our tour guide for the day, and it was pretty incredible learning about how the Durban beachfront is actually artificially maintained through a network of pipes pumping sand to expand the beach for special occassions. I forgot to bring my camera with me for the walk, but the iPhone did a pretty good job as a substitute 👌
