A few years ago, I came up with a way to implement a fast decentralized poker and worked on an implementation and a paper. Since it wasnt in the mainstream path of komodo at the time, i had sg777 complete the implementation and the core part that is described in the paper is now almost integrated into a gui so people can play.
I use lightning network to create a hub and spoke network for realtime offchain payments to bet the CHIPS. Still more improvements can be done and it can also be generalized to any type of card (or other) multiplayer game that needs decentralized RNG
