Statements like this are composed by the Pentagon and its lackeys as if the US military had even the slightest credibility.
The Pentagon Papers.
The Gulf of Tonkin.
WMD’s in Iraq.
Yet every time, all the 50 year history of lies, deceit and propaganda are ignored because this time, the Pentagon is only out for truth, justice and the American Way.
(Personay, I wouldn’t believe the Pentagon to tell me if it was day or night unless I was standing by an open window.)
The disconnect between the public statements and the historical reality is staggering.

Remember “light at the end of the tunnel” General William Westmoreland?

Recall Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara spinning tales of North Vietnamese aggression in the Gulf of Tonkin?

How about the saintly Colin Powell lying at the UN about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq?
Now it’s facial recognition that would never drift into the Dark Side, and the Pentagon’s stellar, credible integrity back it up.
Like the Patriot Act, this is another Big Brother wet dream.
