Hypocrisy is universal. Everyone is a hypocrite. It’s an innate part of human nature. We want the pack to behave in one way because we depend on it’s morality and stability, but we personally want to get away with as much as we can.
What is most irritating is when people hold themselves out to be better than others, or when they become bigots and malign entire groups for the misbehavior of a few. This is why conservatives have blissful schadenfreude when SJWs step in it, and why the Left enjoys it when Christians step in it too.
What we don’t want to realize is the feelings of moral superiority that lead to schadenfreude is itself a form of hypocrisy.
LeBeouf has a lot of problems. Most adults who where child actors do. I’ve read one of his interviews. He is every bit as much a deep thinking person as he is a narcissistic one. In the article, he said that he had been reading philosophy and think pieces. I don’t know if he gets it or not though.
I hope he finds his way.
