Your response to Susan Fowler’s is a whitewash of classic PR that protects Uber. You turn Fowler’s very specific story into an ethereal one of global ubiquitous sexual harassment .

Given the context it’s pretty empty for you to pat yourself on the back with “I have been shouting about this for years now…”

Well why didn’t you speak up about what’s been going on at Uber like Susan did? You’re not a hero for sticking around at Uber, in fact your tepid spin doctoring response here, especially when taking your company role into account, makes you part of the problem.

Why can’t you address any of the specifics in her story? How do you respond to the HR department’s horrid responses to her? How do you explain the management? Why not back up and verify her story, as things you’ve seen not just in the world at large, but at your company, Uber, in particular? By avoiding the specifics of Fowler’s story you make yourself look like an apologist.
