There’s plenty I agree with in what you say, and some I disagree with. But responding point-by-point would be, well, beside the point. What I’m trying to say is: if you care about third parties, you care about voting systems. It is rare that the best person for the job is one who can win the election. As long as we’re using first past the post voting, that causes a dilemma; and one which, wherever you want to cast the blame, can end in disaster. I want you to be able to vote your conscience safely, so I want to reform the voting system. Or I should say, we do. I hope you can see the logic there.
