Yes, in a Bernie v. Trump match, Bernie would have won. And the same thing is true in a Bernie v. Hillary v. Trump match, if you used a voting method like 3–2–1 voting that can accommodate 3 candidates. I have the numbers to prove both of those statements.

But you have to be more specific with “free and fair elections”. Sure, Hillary supporters in the DNC stacked the deck; but she would have won even if they hadn’t. She got over 12% more votes, and there’s just no way DNC dirty tricks account for more than 4% of those.

So “free and fair” has to mean a better voting method, not just an impartial DNC. And yes, it’s important to be specific about that.
