No offense to the content, which is good, but the visualization is entirely pointless. You’re arbitrarily placing names on an arbitrary map. There’s no real analysis to place these individuals on a real map.

The best we have (data on how elected officials actually vote) classifies Hillary as pretty far left, further than Obama, but just right of Bernie. The Republicans are shifting further and further right though — except Trump, he fits no where really because they have to use what he says (he has never been elected) and he’s all over the damn place. It’s also believed that Trump is pandering because at no point in his adult life has he actually been conservative, as he donated more and more money to Democratic candidates than Republican ones up until very recently (duh).

I support Bernie, he’s the only one far enough left for me (I’m a registered Republican, interesting right?), but Hillary has been fairly liberal in her time in office. She’s just fake as fuck.
