My London Trip, As told through Pictures of Flowers

This is a little bit of an experiment, I wanted to try some visual story telling/ travel log through the collection of flower photos I took whilst taking a holiday in London. Why? Mostly because I just love photographing flowers and I took so many over there. These were all taken with my Galaxy S7 Edge because I didn’t want to lug a camera around but it still did great. Thanks to my dear friends for taking me in and making my trip amazing and here’s some of what I did, whenever there were flowers nearby.

First morning I landed after a pretty good flight, only sleeping on the second second Dubai>London. Met up with the mate I was staying with got a key and headed out to the city
I was immediately struck walking down the streets by the beautiful blossoms out. I made it about 500 meters before I had to stop a take a few snaps
After a few hours walking through the city, having a pie in a pub, visiting the art gallery and hanging out in St James Park I ended up walking by The Embankment
Poppy’s where everywhere in London. So gorgeous
Sitting in St James Park. Had an ice cream and watched the squirrels and laid in the sun
Did I mention the blossoms??
Couldn’t get over them.
Time Jumped about a week of exploring London, going to Museums, catching up with friends & enjoying a good pint
These few were all taken in Hampton Court. Beautiful spot, such amazing scenery
More Poppies, beautiful color
This almost looks painted. Currently cropped and made my phone lock screen
The diversity of the colour in one location really left a lasting impression
Taken whilst getting a coffee and waiting for the train. The whole tree was this beautiful deep pink and red
These next couple were taken on a day trip I did out in Camden. Grabbed street food and then did a 3–4 hour walk along the canals
I think it was one of my favourite things I did in London. Just big winding path along the river, every single moment was so picturesque. Couldn’t have asked for anything else.
I think there’s something really beautiful about the European canals that I really connected with, and I guess not having them in Australia I took them for granted.
Beautiful depth of field on the S7 1.7f lens really captures some amazing. This is my phone wallpaper now
Now technically this is a landscape… but it was a beautiful field of flowers and just a stunning skyline.
Waiting for a mate.
Somewhere in Cambridge
And finally back home. Landed at 5am and took this just before I headed inside to greet family and catch up on game of thrones.
