Dispelling the myth of not enough diversity in games

You’ve got a great point with this article. That said, 90% of Europeans are “white” only if you go by traditional demographic groups, which consider Turks, Spanish, Albanians, Sephardic Jews, Arabs, Greeks, Armenians, Serbs, Sicilians, Gypsies, Kazakhs, Romanians, Chechans and so on to be “white”. Let’s be real, though you can find white looking people within all of these groups, for the most part, they aren’t. There isn’t a universal “Caucasian” appearance that Europeans have, and using stock Caucasian characters when they are supposed to be Greek as opposed to Danish would actually detract from the realism.
