You know Casey I’d take your and Cathy Young’s complaints about ‘conspiracy theorizing’ much more seriously if you yourself weren’t pushing ludicrous but Establishmentarian conspiracy theories about the vast Kremlin-Texas secessionist conspiracy and using such lame stories attacking right wing people you don’t like to try and get hired by the likes of Politico, Buzzfeed, or the Daily Beast — which is basically the goal of many journos such as yourself who kiss the U.S. government’s ass on Ukraine, and deny or disavow any U.S. role in the Maidan coup d’etat which included bloody street violence, the looting of police arsenals, and death threats against members of Yanukovych’s party to get them to vote for his impeachment.
Perhaps if the United States State Department hadn’t basically outsourced almost its entire argument concerning who shot down MH17 and why to Eliot Higgins, a guy sitting on his couch in England with no education in avionics, rocketry, air defense systems, but a whole lot of time on his hands and apparently an inbox that’s friendly to SBU photoshops of Ukraine’s own BUKs deployed in the Donbass — I’d take your claim about Consortium News ‘conspiracy theories’ concerning MH17 more seriously. How dare anyone suggest that the real reason the U.S. intelligence community cannot release a damned thing of its own concerning July 17, 2014 but had to outsource the job to Bellingcat and the SBU is because the only American satellite photos of a BUK taken that day show men in Ukrainian Army uniforms standing around them, as Robert Parry’s sources reported.
How dare anyone refer to sources and decades of reporting U.S. government coverrups like Parry or Sy Hersh, when we have Bellingcat and a bunch of twentysomethings with Google and whatever Dmitry Tymchuk and the SBU send them who swear their Russian BUK3x2 and the documented presence of a Ukrainian BUK312 in Donbass are purely coincidence. I suppose hell will freeze over before we see a single U.S. satellite photograph of a Russian BUK in Donbass that day or an NSA intercept of a BUK’s Kupola radar emitting before MH17 was shot down. This isn’t rocket science your job is to brown nose the U.S. government take whatever it says at face value and never under any circumstances ask why Kiev failed to provide alibis/locations for its own BUK launchers that day.
