Matt, I worked with you in Columbus on the Obama 2012 campaign and I have to say I find this editorial disappointing. Nearly 30 paragraphs explaining all of the reasons why the Sanders political revolution (it is not about putting one man in office) is doomed to failure, followed by 3 paragraph in which you don’t explain why Clinton’s presidency would not suffer the same doom. How is it exactly that she claims she can get things done with the Republican Congress which obstructed, impeded and resisted President Obama at every turn for the past 7 years? You are most specific about how President Clinton would change the system by appointing progressive Justices to the Supreme Court — but President Sanders would do precisely the same thing. Barack Obama inspired me in 2007 when I realized that an African-American was more electable that Hillary Clinton, and he has continued to inspire me ever since. I never thought I would see an African-American in the White House during my lifetime. I’m still waiting to see a woman there, but Elizabeth Warren refuses to run, which is why I’m working even harder for the political revolution. It’s not too late to join up.
