Why I Find Myself Dissatisfied with “Game of Thrones” as Narrative

My 2¢ on Game of Thrones
I agree (with Brad), but I think the bigger problem is illustrated by the fact that when I watched the first episode of the current season — which checks in on all of the main characters, more or less — I couldn’t bring myself to care about any of them. Maybe Arya, a couple of seasons ago, but now she’s just become a reification of sullen vengeance. As opposed to, say, The Wire, in which I cared about almost every character — even some of the gangsters, like the incredibly hilarious Proposition Joe.
