Tendonitis is inflammation of the tendon. The tendon attaches to muscle, so yes, tight muscles may cause tendonitis.

We're creatures of habit and often get stuck in what's called holding patterns. We sleep, sit, stand, and move the same way day in and day out.

So other than injury, overuse is one of the more common causes of tendonitis we see at the clinic.
