Snowstorm caution in Lynchburg

After the effects of the Jonas snowstorm over the weekend, drivers in the Lynchburg area are urged in The News and Advance to use caution heading out this week. While the weather is warming up, there are still ice patches and black snow melting away that may cause issues such as slippery roads or flooding. Due to an overall awareness of busy schedules and the safety of the citizens, staff throughout Lynchburg have been working hard to clear the roads as fast as possible.

Falwell endorsement for Trump

It was only about a week ago that Donald Trump was addressing several evangelical college students at Liberty University, but he reportedly has just received the endorsement of Jerry Falwell Jr himself. According to WSET, the endorsement was more personal for Falwell, because of the connections he sees between Trump and his own father. Falwell’s positive words toward Trump are reported to supposedly help him even more in the upcoming polls, especially in places such as Iowa.

Amherst County woman beaten by hammer

According to The News and Advance, a disagreement in the streets between two neighbors turned violent Sunday night when the woman, Holly Davis, pulled out a claw hammer on the other woman, Manuela Andrews. The fight broke out supposedly due to issues of child care and Davis was arrested shortly after. Andrews was rushed to the Lynchburg General Hospital and was reported to have gotten several staples in her head.
