Cyber War fare and IOT

Interesting and scary blog!! How exposed do you think New Zealand as a country is to cyber-attack from hostile elements? With the IOT everywhere, even if we think we are safe, are we really? I came across an article during the week about cybercrime in New Zealand and the fightback against it. New Zealand suffers 100 ransomware attacks a day — a 160% increase since 2014. In wars of old, New Zealand was relatively safe due to its geographical location. However with cyber warfare it doesn’t matter where you are globally once you are connected to the IOT.

Do you think it should be left to the private sector to lead the fight against cybercrime? Do you think the New Zealand government should be spending more in the fight against cyber criminals and rouge governments?

A single golf clap? Or a long standing ovation?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
