Peace is a profitable commodity. Something to be bought and sold for the highest bidder. It is great after dinner talk. Sound bits for politicians to get us to vote their way. Bureaucracy foothold on the people. It is fodder to sharks, and serpents a like. But truth is some grow wealthy and robust in the midst of war. While others lose their shirts, and give up their lives for love of fellow man, and country. Equality a bargaining chip without much of a bankroll. The powers that be love to keep us like dogs each trying to outdo the other. While they sit about their thrones and watch us tear ourselves a part.

Peace, the dream of the people. So much blood shed in search to claim it as their own. Men, women, and children collateral damage in a never ending battle for control. And those who benefit the most what do they lose? What have they given up for their freedom? Most of them nothing. They most likely never have known what it feels like to be violated, and then ignored. They do not know what it feels like to be at the mercy of another. Perhaps they should learn firsthand how surviving is done.

Peace and war trump cards of the self entitled. Some people live above the fray thus they believe they are cleverly adept. Your happiness for the expense of mine is not even a contemplation. What some are willing to risk is heavily calculated in debt. Fear makes the oppressor piss their breeches, and try to drive at break neck speeds to prove a point. Existing bears no resemblance to living. Thriving in the midst of surviving takes gumption. Therefore privilege distinct stench is muted by those whose integrity could never be bought or sold at any price.
