Olympic Games

I read a lot of information about the Olympics. It’s really very interesting. I was not interested in this before. Now that I have studied some material, I realized how much interesting information I missed.

Perhaps most interesting is the beginning of the very first Olympic Games.

The first Olympic Games were held in Ancient Greece. The first Olympic Games were held in 776 and were organized in honor of the god Zeus. The program of the first Olympic Games consisted of only one event. It was a run of 193 meters. Since 1924, the Olympic Games have been divided into winter and summer. So the numbering of the Winter Olympic Games began. Then the Olympic Games began to be held more often and it became a tradition. The Olympics are very popular these days.
There are 3 stages of the Olympic Games: 1- Antique Olympic Games, 2 - Revival of the Olympic Games, 3- Modern Olympic Games
Also, I was interested in the Paralympic Games. These are games for people with disabilities. I want to name a few athletes who impressed me.
Vanderson Silva is a Brazilian athlete, participant in the athletics competition. As a result of an accident that happened 14 years ago, Silva lost his left leg.

Alessandro Zanardi is an Italian racing driver. In September 2001, Alessandro Zanardi got into a car accident during the competition at the Lausitzring in Germany. Dzanardi managed to recover from the accident and continued to play sports.

Oscar Pistorius is a South African runner. when he was 11 months old, he lost his legs. Oscar did not have fibula bones. The young man was engaged in the most various kinds of sports - from run to rugby.

Olesya Vladykina is a Russian sportswoman, a champion of the Paralympic Games in Beijing. In 2008, on vacation in Thailand, a sightseeing bus was involved in an accident. A friend of Olesya died, and the girl lost her left hand. However, Olesya resumed training and five months later became the champion of the Paralympic swimming in the distance of 100 meters breaststroke.

I believe that these people are worthy of respect.
