Why Agile turns into micromanagement

To add to your thought provoking article I would say that Agile fails because;

  • Agile/Scrum have become an industry in themselves.
  • Poor understanding of what Agility really is… see my first point.
  • Lack of real communication.
  • Lack of motivation yes but also the lack of individuals at all levels either being given responsibility and/or being willing to take responsibility.
  • Distrust of colleagues and of management.
  • Estimations.
  • Scale
