Employee leaves are directly proportional to the health of the team and inturn health of the organisation. Understand how may employees are taking leave in different categories like say number of days. Example: Employee AB has taken just 2 days, other group of employees are taking leaves for more than 9. Know the data and plan accordingly to improvise the team health.
· Go to the edit mode
· Click on Create New — Reports
· Name the report — in this case Employee Vacation Report
· Select the type of report — Pivot type is what I have chosen.
· Report based on — Employee Information. Because we have the data of number of leaves taken, name of the employee, etc in this report. So lets take a report on this data.
· Where do you want this report to be placed under . Ofcourse since it is based on Employee Information, lets place it under employee information data.
· Click — “Create”.
· Once you click “Create” it will show you this image to start the pivoting work.

· Since we are creating Pie-chart, we don’t have data for x-axis and y-axis. Select the data you need to review. In this case Holidays Taken. Drag and drop that in either of the fields i.e. x- Axis or y-Axis.
· When you drop you see one more field there which further gives you option on which the pie chart be shown. If you hover over each of the sub selections, the definition of each of them is shown.
· In our case we are keen to see the output based on the Range. i.e. how many of my employees have taken leave from say 0–5 days and so on and so forth. So lets select the Range and define the range for it.
· Once you finish putting the range number (note it is just one number, example “5” here or “5.5” and not “5–9” etc.
· Now click on the green button “Generate Report”

· Above is a preview and not saved format yet. You can change the range incase the output is not clear by clicking “Actual” again and change the range and again click on Generate Report button.
· When you mouse over the blocks you can see more details popping up about that particular block. On to the right details of range with color indication is also available for your review.
· Click “Save” and go to the live application mode.
