CATCH Prep Gets New Superintendent From Culver City
Culver City School District gets a New Superintendent
Melissa Firebaugh, Realtor, has always been impressed with Culver City area schools.
Consistent with this finding is the fact that the CATCH Prep Charter High School has selected Joshua Arnold, Ed. D., as the new District Superintendent from Culver City Unified. According to Board Member Anne Alaire, “We had so many amazing candidates to choose from and the Board was unanimous in choosing Dr. Arnold. Needless to say, we’re excited about continuing our commitment to excellent schools in Culver City.”
Originally, Arnold, began his career as an English teacher in the Los Angeles Unified and Santa Monica-Malibu Unified school districts before becoming a principal at Crenshaw Arts Tech Charter High and Los Alamitos High School. Dr. Arnold also earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from UCLA and then went on to receive his Masters in Organizational Leadership from Harvard and a Doctorate in Education from USC.
Currently, Dr. Arnold serves as the Superintendent of Culver City Schools, and before that as the Assistant Superintendent of Education Services in the Los Alamitos Unified School District in north Orange County. He has spent his time there creating professional development programs and a culture of collaboration, and Arnold is widely known for having a wonderful relationship with students, teachers, and families whether they are involved with Pre-Kindergarten or dealing with the issues that come with the last year of High School.
Melissa Firebaugh knows that Culver City is the perfect place for such a family.
