In this week, Charles will set up several meetings to give a brief but comprehensive orientation to let jump into this work as fast as possible. This is the third day of our internship at EGI Capital. During the meeting of today, Charles kindly shared his insights and expectation for China and Taiwan with us.
Our bigger colleague, Bolong, first shared his insights about the city he was born, Wuhan. Wuhan is the capital of Hubei province and one of the nine National Central Cities of China. It lies in the eastern Jianghan Plain on the middle reaches of the Yangtze River’s intersection with the Han river. Arising out of the conglomeration of three cities, Wuchang(武昌), Hankou(漢口), and Hanyang(漢陽).
What are the advantages that Wuhan can attract elite to work in China? Charles mentioned that the biggest problem about start-up to work in China is they are afraid of being copied their technology by China, and how can we persuade CEOs or professors to let them trust us and share their technology with us?
As for Taiwan, what is our core value in Taiwan? What are the advantages of comparing with others? We have more credit in this global village, but how can Taiwan compete with other nations for their funds? What are the advantages and disadvantages of China, Taiwan, or other nations? These questions are the things that we need to think thoroughly and answer them supported by concrete information. I think each of us has our own perspectives to these questions.
During three days of adventure, I noticed the people here are energetic and efficiency to do their work because they don’t want to spend extra time on their work at all. They can take care of their works and personal lives in an efficient way! That’s the thing we need to learn!
