  1. It’s not “clean”, it’s incomplete. And it’s not even clean in a sense it doesn’t raise questions.
  2. You can spread a narrative “it’s clean” without something being clean, and ignorant people would believe it if they don’t see the word “Russia” written across in big red letters.
  3. If the tax return has been leaked (possibly by Trump himself), you can’t un-leak it. So, there is a choice to provide commentary or leave it alone. Leaving it alone draws people to somebody’s else commentary.
