We are a trilingual family. One of the first things I did with prospective names is make sure they were easy to pronounce and would be pronounced approximately the same in all three languages. I made small allowances for family names that were well known on all sides of the family, which meant they could be pronounced by anyone in the family.

A lot of names don't make the cut when I start doing that, but it works.
