Over the weekend, many of the world’s most exciting and talented wedding dress designers unveiled their latest collections in New York, at Bridal Fashion Week.
And today, we’re kicking things off with a particularly gorgeous one.
When she reported back, Claire Eliza was pretty excited about the collection, and when we saw her beautiful pictures, we were too!
A designer who is synonymous with eclectic opulence, Naeem Khan didn’t hold back on texture, embellishment and sparkle, with a runway that had everything from clean lines and minimal halternecks to fringed flapper dresses and heavily appliquéd gowns.
Borrowing from the nineties, the seventies AND the twenties, sexy slip styles and one shouldered shapes were pared next to fur-trimmed robes and floral-adorned long sleeve gowns. There were even a couple of splashes of canary yellow.
Leading trend after trend, with showstopper after showstopper, if the Naeem Khan collection is a sign of things to come for next year’s brides, we say, roll on 2017!
I can’t decide which I like more, the vintage style floral gowns or the cool fringed ones — the short dresses with the thigh-high boots are pretty awesome. I love the mix of old-fashioned veils and statement earrings too.
Normally there’s just one or two standouts on a runway, but this one is just full of them!
