Companies like Buffer and Groove come to mind as examples of marketing that “gets personal from the get-go,” and I think it’s incredibly effective for them. But that’s a tough strategy to execute. It takes a kind of radical transparency that has to come from the DNA of a company. Also, +1 to getting dirty with the sales team :)
