A brook, a stream

a thought, a dream

the skies, the flies

the hidden lies

A tap drips

a man sips

slowly relishing the sea

and the flavour of his tea.

Floating memories

drift in the lonely breeze

half-truths told

Lies don’t grow old

A girl laughs loudly

A boy grins proudly

pretend you’re glad

inside you’re sad.

Confusion

Illusion

Want to shout

“Please, get out!”

Let me be

stay with me

don’t push or shove me

just come and love me.
